Matas de Minas is a specialty coffee growing district, located in the south-east of Minas Gerais state, inland from Brazil's Atlantic coast. Matas de Minas are the Minas Forests, a dense mountainous forest region that is home to the plantations of Andressa coffee, symbolized by the native forest puma.

Andressa coffee is farmed by small family growers at altitudes between 800m-1200m, near Espera Feliz, using naturally sustainable methods. The mild climate and careful focus on preparation, yields an artisanal coffee, that is sweet in flavor, with chocolate, nut and caramel highlights.

This coffee would suit a medium+ espresso roast and would do very well in a blend as well.

Variety: Caturra, Bourbon
Grade: NY2/3 SSGC
Altitude: 1200 masl
Screen Size: 17/18+

Cupping notes: Aromas of cocoa and roasted hazelnuts. Flavours of caramel, nuts, yellow stonefruit acidity and a lovely round body.
