A Brew of Legacy
Phillip Di Bella's Coffee Commune, an offspring of Di Bella Coffee's rich history, blends the time-honored mastery with a fresh perspective, forging a new chapter in the culinary lineage of exceptional coffee.
What began as a small coffee roasting operation in the suburbs of Brisbane in 2002, Di Bella Coffee emerged as a revolutionary, customer focused business, synonymous with opportunity and innovation and driven by an unbounding passion to deliver the Ultimate Coffee Experience.
Guided by such a clear vision, Di Bella Coffee rapidly became Australia’s largest specialty coffee roaster, earning the respect and appreciation of coffee lovers across the country. Phillip Di Bella’s success story was fuelled by passion, commitment and innovation. In 2016, it was time to hand over the reins and Di Bella Coffee was sold.
In 2020, Phillip Di Bella started his latest venture, the Coffee Commune, a membership network of like-minded hospitality businesses, made up of café and restaurant proprietors, suppliers of goods & services, technology and consultancies, roasters, baristas, and enthusiasts.
Coffee Commune's aims to create a sustainable future for the coffee industry. The Coffee Commune brings the coffee community together to collaborate, learn, network and be successful. Coffee Entrepreneur Phil Di Bella and his team at Coffee Commune won the world's best roaster competition 2022. The Golden Bean is the world's largest coffee roaster competition, with entries from over 100 coffee roasters worldwide.
This prestigious competition, held in Hawaii each year is a culmination of the battle between Northern and Southern Hemispheres to see who is the best coffee roaster in the world.
Judged by industry luminaries, Coffee Commune was crowned the overall World Series Champion 2022.
